Sourced from the legendary deposits of Badakhshan, which have supplied the world with its finest lazurite since antiquity, this 81g rough specimen displays a striking royal blue coloration. This rich, deep blue tone represents the highest grade of Lapis Lazuli, presenting very little of the white calcite veining that lowers the quality of lesser stones.
Kept in its completely natural, unpolished state, the face of the specimen reveals a breathtaking constellation of shimmering golden Pyrite crystals. These metallic specks are scattered beautifully across the dense blue backdrop, mimicking a star-filled night sky. Measuring 6.0 cm in length with a relatively flat 2.0 cm profile, this specimen has an excellent surface area, making it a fantastic shelf display piece or ideal slicing material for high-grade cabochons, carvings, and inlay work.
