Sourced directly from the legendary high-altitude deposits of Badakhshan, this 145g rough specimen showcases an extraordinarily rich royal blue coloration. The fine-grained lazurite matrix holds a deep, uniform saturation that represents the classic, premium grade of Afghan material, remaining virtually free from distracting white calcite patches.

Preserved in its raw, natural state, the specimen has a beautifully balanced, chunky shape. Across its unpolished faces, a spectacular arrangement of bright, metallic golden Pyrite flecks and micro-veins catches the light beautifully as the stone is turned. Measuring 7.3 cm by 5.6 cm with a very substantial 4.3 cm thickness, this specimen is perfectly proportioned for an upright shelf display or as high-yield rough for custom lapidary projects like thick cabochons, fine carvings, or luxury gemstone inlay work.
