A slim 78g freeform
This polished Lapis Lazuli freeform from Badakhshan, Afghanistan is a small piece. It’s 8.0 cm long and 3.5 cm wide, and it is thicker than it looks at 2.2 cm. The lines are rounded and flowing. The lazurite is deep royal blue and fine-grained, with a smooth polish on the faces.
What you’ll notice
A fine dusting of gold pyrite sits across the blue. It’s a light pattern and not heavy veining, so the stone reads mostly blue with gold flecks. It is the right size for a shelf, a cabinet or a desk. It can also be shown on a miniature easel stand, or laid flat.
