Long, Thick and Polished: A 9.6 lb Lapis Lazuli Block

This polished Lapis Lazuli block from Badakhshan, Afghanistan is 25.0 cm long and 13.0 cm wide, about 9.8 × 5.1 inches, and 6.7 cm (2.6 in) thick. It weighs 4.35 kg, about 9.6 lb. At that thickness it is a block, not a slab or tile, and it stands upright on its own.
