Sourced from the legendary Shigar Valley, this 65.9ct specimen is a standout for its unique texture. The Spessartine Garnet crystal exhibits a remarkable "etched" habit. Unlike smooth-faced garnets, this crystal was naturally partially dissolved by hydrothermal fluids late in its growth cycle. This process has left behind a complex, sculptural surface of geometric pits and "v-shaped" hillocks, creating a frosted yet high-luster appearance that is highly prized by specialized mineral collectors.
The garnet boasts a vibrant "Mandarin" orange color that glows with intensity against the backdrop of silvery Mica plates. The mica provides a metallic, reflective shimmer that contrasts beautifully with the organic, etched form of the garnet. The entire assembly is anchored to a white Feldspar matrix, making it a perfectly balanced, aesthetic display piece.
