A Sculpted Landscape of the Shigar Valley This 78g specimen is a masterclass in mineral associations. The primary Quartz crystals exhibit the iconic Lemurian habit, identified by deep horizontal growth striations (barcodes). These crystals have also undergone natural etching, where hydrothermal fluids have "sculpted" the faces into an intricate topography of frosted, geometric patterns.
Complementing the quartz are bright, reflective plates of Mica (Muscovite) that nestle between the crystal points, providing a brilliant metallic flash when moved in the light. The entire group is anchored to a blocky Feldspar matrix, which serves as a clean, white foundation that makes the clear-to-frosted quartz points stand out. At 78 grams, it is a perfectly sized cabinet specimen that offers significant detail and 360-degree interest.
