Hand-selected from the rugged pegmatite deposits of Skardu, Pakistan, this 41.1ct Garnet is an exceptional example of an "etched" habit. Rather than displaying standard flat faces, the surface of this crystal has been naturally carved by hydrothermal fluids during its time in the earth. The result is a series of intricate geometric valleys, frosted ridges, and glass-like pits.
The specimen features a deep, sophisticated wine-red color. While it appears dark and mysterious in reflected light, it reveals a fiery, saturated red interior when backlit. Its elongated 23mm profile makes it a unique addition to a garnet collection, offering a different silhouette than the typical rounder dodecahedrons. This is a 100% natural and untreated specimen.
