Directly from the world-famous Shigar Valley, this 64ct specimen is a prize for collectors of "habit-specific" minerals. While Skardu is known for pristine hexagonal beryls, this Aquamarine has undergone a natural etching process. Corrosive fluids within the pocket have naturally dissolved the surface, creating a complex, frosted network of geometric pits and "stepped" architecture.
The crystal displays a light "ice-blue" hue and is aesthetically situated on a snowy-white Feldspar matrix. The white host rock acts as a natural spotlight, emphasizing the blue tones of the beryl. This is a 100% natural, untreated specimen that perfectly illustrates the dynamic changes in temperature and chemistry that occur deep within the Himalayan earth.
