Clear Etched Quartz & Black Tourmaline – Pakistan

Directly from the rugged northern regions of Pakistan, this 690ct specimen is a study in mineralogical detail. The primary Quartz crystal is remarkably clear, acting as a window that reveals a complex internal and external landscape. Its faces are covered in deep, natural striations and geometric etching—telltale signs of a crystal that has been naturally "sculpted" by shifting hydrothermal fluids in its growth pocket.

Adding a dramatic, high-contrast element are the jet-black Tourmaline (Schorl) crystals embedded within and upon the quartz. The high-gloss, metallic luster of the Schorl provides a striking counterpoint to the vitreous clarity of the quartz. Measuring 81mm (over 3 inches), this piece has a commanding physical presence and a unique "hand-feel" due to its deeply textured surfaces.
